Blogs are a great example of an appropriate website to bring up during an interview. Just make sure that the topic is appropriate and relevant to your interests! The employer is asking you this question to reveal more about your personality. Blogs that are career or hobby focused are a fantastic choice. Maybe you enjoy reading about exercise, different cuisine, or travel! All of these are great options to help you craft your response to this question.

Example: My favorite website would have to be the Italian food blog that I follow daily. I love to cook and try new foods, so this is my favorite way to find new recipes and explore my love for making delicious food.

Virtual Groups

If you are a member of a virtual group, this is also a great thing to share! There are many online groups for those who want to explore their hobbies with a group. Examples include book clubs, craft clubs, photography and editing groups, exercise groups, and so much more. This can also be a great segway into how you spent your days in quarantine and kept yourself busy. Your employer will get to know a little more about you and decide if you are a good fit for the company culture.

Example: I enjoy communicating with my runner’s group. We discuss the best gear to use, such as sneakers and heart rate monitors, as well as recommend trails and paths to try. It is a great way to build a community and explore my passion for running.

Charity & Activism

Another option you could choose is to talk about either a charity or activism website that you follow. This will show your passions and beliefs, which will help the employer evaluate if you are the right fit for the company. Charity and volunteer work can be an attractive form of experience to an employer. You can talk about how you took action, even virtually, during the quarantine period and were still able to make a difference. You can explore ways in which you educated yourself and others through online activism groups to help make a difference. Share what is important to you!

Example: I consider myself to be an environmentalist, I absolutely love the ocean. I decided to join a charity group that raises money to help keep pollution out of the sea, and I spend my weekends picking up trash at local beaches.
