Job Title: Field Technician / Security Systems Technician

Topsarge Business Solutions seeks qualified Maintenance and Repair Technicians to support the daily maintenance, repair, testing, and servicing of Integrated Commercial Intrusion Detection Systems (ICIDS-V) and Entry Control Equipment (ECE) at Fort Cavazos. These technicians play a critical role in sustaining the operational status of mission-essential security systems protecting Army personnel, facilities, and assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform preventive, corrective, and unscheduled maintenance on ESS components including sensors, portals, network cables, conduits, power supplies, UPS units, and control units
Troubleshoot system faults, restore zone functionality, and verify alarm signal integrity
Complete zone inspections and semi-annual tests in compliance with AR 190-11 for all IDS-protected areas, including AA&E zones
Clean and maintain server cabinets, remote monitors, OPWS, ventilation components, and media enclosures on a recurring basis
Document all service actions using Customer Service Orders (CSO), preventive maintenance checklists, and maintenance history records
Provide service during regular business hours and support 24/7 on-call response for urgent maintenance requirements
Coordinate with the Government COR and zone points of contact to gain access, document results, and validate maintenance completion
Work independently and as part of a team to sustain operational uptime for over 700 IDS zones and 70+ portals
Ensure compliance with ICIDS-V manufacturer standards, Fort Cavazos Physical Security policies, and applicable Army regulations
Required Qualifications:
U.S. citizen with active Secret clearance
At least 3 years of experience in electronic security system maintenance or equivalent technical field
Proficiency in troubleshooting electronic circuits, network cabling, access control hardware, and physical security components
Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics, and device specifications
Familiarity with Army physical security procedures and AR 190-11 maintenance requirements
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
DAQ ICIDS VAR certification or knowledge of DAQ StarWatch SMS platform.
Technical knowledge in system networking, cybersecurity (DoD 8570), or physical security systems.
Familiarity with Army regulations (e.g., AR 190-11, AR 25-2) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
Experience supporting Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) is a plus.
