**Job Title: Painter**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled painter to join our team. The role involves painting custom structures, preparing surfaces for initial and final coats of primer/paint, and ensuring the proper operation, cleaning, and maintenance of paint spraying equipment. Will be responsible for providing quality workmanship and maintaining high work standards, moving containers within the paint area, and reporting inventory levels on all paint and supplies.
**Responsibilities**
+ Prepare, set up, and test all paint spraying equipment prior to use, ensuring proper operation.
+ Clean and maintain equipment at the end of the day.
+ Organize and label paint and primer with color and date.
+ Prepare surfaces for initial and final coats of primer/paint using various hand tools, such as grinders.
+ Maintain high work standards and provide quality workmanship.
+ Move finished and unfinished containers around the paint area.
+ Maintain and report inventory levels on all paint and supplies.
+ Properly label all paint.
+ Maintain paint booth filters.
+ Clean surfaces prior to layering paint.
+ Possess a wide array of painting tools, including thin and thick brushes, airbrushes, and rollers.
+ Safely dispose of chemical waste.
+ Ensure high safety standards are met.
+ Utilize different painting techniques based on the nature of the surface.
+ Use special safety equipment such as painting goggles.
+ Measure the amount of paint to be used and the texture of the paint using viscosity cups and thickness gauges.
+ Remove previous paint surfaces using masking or chemical rinse.
+ Paint small items and perform touch-ups.
+ Ensure proper ventilation after paint is applied.
+ Utilize electroplating equipment to coat metal.
+ Polish metallic surfaces.
+ Paint over wood and plastic surfaces.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
