Overview: We are seeking a motivated Jr to Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to join our team on a DoD DISA contract. The ideal candidate will have experience in AWS environments and a strong understanding of DevSecOps practices. This role involves working closely with development and operations teams to ensure secure, efficient, and scalable deployment of applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS services.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
- Conduct security assessments and implement security controls to protect cloud-based applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in DevSecOps or related roles.
- Proficiency with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with security best practices and tools (e.g., AWS IAM, AWS KMS, security groups).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (Top Secret/SCI preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Prometheus.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Previous experience working on federal contracts.
