We are currently seeking a Telecommunications Mechanic II (Site Manager) for a long-term contract slated to start in 2025.

The Telecommunications Mechanic/Site Manager is expected to oversee and maintain the day-to-day operations of the Department of Defense contractor organization. This position will play a key role in ensuring smooth business processes, optimizing resources, and driving operational efficiency. The ideal candidate must have a strong background with providing oversight for Accounting, HR, and Technical Operations, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

The Telecommunications Mechanic/Site Manager also serves a as subject matter expert, possessing in-depth knowledge of a particular area, such as network design and implementation, communications infrastructure, enterprise performance management, technology innovation and IT modernization planning.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all required network infrastructure requests for trouble resolution, new services, or support as defined in the PWS.
• Ensure work orders, scheduled maintenance, inspections, special projects, cable locates, and other services are consistently complete on-time. If additional time is needed, coordination will be made with the COR.
• Provide technical and operational recommendations to the COR that may improve the performance of the Telco and PBX Telecom systems or enhance services provided to subscribers.
• Assign daily tasking to all technicians and operators based on workload received from ticketing system and ensure all work is completed within required time, responsible for quality and timeliness.
• Ensure staff remains compliant with contract terms to include proper security clearance, IA training, etc.
• Ensure work orders, scheduled maintenance, inspections, special projects, cable locates, and other services are consistently complete on-time. If additional time is needed, coordination will be made with the COR.
• Ensure site telephone plant drawings are properly updated and maintained and that cable records are properly updated and maintained using Visio software.
• Ensure required parts, supplies, and materials are properly ordered, maintained/tracked, and issued; all items used to complete work are documented in TMS.
• Monitors all equipment and vehicles and ensures proper maintenance and calibration is completed as needed.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma (bachelor's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management or a similar role.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
• Experience with customer service environment.
• Understanding of military environment preferred. Military senior non-commissioned officer a plus.
• Experience in the Army Human Resources Command or Army G-9/G-1.
• CompTIA Security+ Certification with CE.
• Telecom Certification (Northern Telecom or other).
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles.
• Experience in supply chain management and logistics.
• Government contracting experience.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret level clearance based on a favorable T3/NACLC or higher investigation.
