ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Answer multi-line telephone, transfer calls, take messages and schedule appointments.
- Answer written and verbal inquiries concerning personnel procedures and/or refer them to other department staff as necessary.
- Responsible for entry, retrieval and maintenance of data into digital and physical personnel files.
- Assist in the employment process of applicants.
- Assist in the maintenance of employment files.
- Assist in filing documents and forms.
- Provide back-up assistance to the Benefits Administrator as needed.
- Generates and distributes materials to County staff.
- Perform special projects as directed by HR Director.
- May be required to work irregular hours, attend job related meetings, and perform all duties with minimal super�vision.
- The duties of the HR Assistant are not limited to those set forth above. The employee will perform such functions, duties and assignments as given by a supervi�sor, consistent with ability, background and expertise.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Administrative experience required.
- Accounting, bookkeeping train�ing helpful.
Experience:
- Minimum three years in clerical field preferred, to include experience in typing, computer word processing, etc.
- Human Resource experience preferred.
Certifications, Skills and Licenses:
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English; bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Computer literacy required, including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and accounting programs.
- Human resource certification preferred.
