**Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator** **Job Description** We are an aluminum cast house that processes scrap aluminum into different alloys, melts it down, and extrudes the molten material to create aluminum billets/logs. As a tier 3 automotive supplier, we are seeking three Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. You will work in teams of two to load and unload scrap into the furnace, requiring basic math skills to keep track of poundage. **Responsibilities** + Load and unload scrap aluminum into the furnace. + Keep track of poundage using basic math skills. + Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavators, bobcats, skid steers, front end loaders, and overhead cranes. **Essential Skills** + Experience operating bobcats, front end loaders, skid steers, forklifts, and overhead cranes. + Experience working in hot and dirty environments. + Basic math skills for addition and subtraction. + Experience in construction or manufacturing. + Wearing steel-toed boots. **Why Work Here?** **We offer a supportive and engaging work environment with company picnics, parties, and birthday lunches for your team. On average, each employee can earn an additional $3000 to $5000 annually through these bonus programs.** **Work Environment** The work environment can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. **Shift options include two night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM and one day shift from 7 AM to 7 PM** . **Training will be conducted Monday to Thursday with three 12-hour shifts and one 8-hour shift before transitioning to a 2-2-3 schedule.** **Pay is $22.50, 3rd shift will get a $1.00 shift premium.** **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of **Bluffton, Indiana** . **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $46800.00 - $48880.00/yr.
